I. PREFACE.

In general engineering and the petroleum industry in particular is drawing the main tool for the development of design ideas to actual construction. The drawing is the main base to manufacture and install and test the simple to the more complex device clusters, so the information from drawings provided are varied and plentiful. There is a no size but stature most important (P & ID), there are drawings of size but not right ratio (isometric), with drawings only show ground floor (Piping GA ), have detailed drawings to each section (Pipe Support).

II. SCOPE OF LESSONS

The course content is limited to the monitoring, the piping engineer newly graduated should remain many shortcomings. Therefore, this document can not be used for the process engineer or related issues in the design and procurement.

1. P&ID

P & ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram: The drawing includes piping systems, equipment, instrument and control signals (Get detailed instructions in other documents). P & ID provides the basic information, but rather full of all kinds of devices, control panel, explaining the symbols (applies to both isometric drawings), the scope of work (Onshore or Offshore, or Piping Instrument ...), the location of contact between the two or two types of materials on the same pipeline Class ...

2. ISOMETRIC.

These are drawings used to construction commencement include 2 types are drawing AFC (aproved for Construction) and shop drawings also called IFC (Issue for construction).

AFC's drawings we received an official copy of the design to construction commencement. This is the basis for comparison, check if during fabrication and installation has incurred any problems. Some key points to note with shop drawings:
- The coordinates of the Flange and sizing when connected to other devices or wrong often.
- The fitting symbol SpectacleBlind sometimes conflict with P & ID drawings. In this case the installation must follow the P & ID
- The process of welding is not the details of each relationship for more than one type of drawing supplies.

III. PIPING isometric GUIDEBOOK
